I've always been an Otago girl, with most of my formative years in Cromwell. I moved to the Waitaki region from Alexandra in 2016 where I met my partner, a local born and bred Oamaruvian, which means I'm here to stay. We brought our first home together last year and we’re excited to renovate it together. We have four kids between us, mostly grown, and consider ourselves lucky to live in such a beautiful vibrant part of the country. Our summers are spent up at the Waitaki Lakes, camping, boating and trying to paddle board. I'm an avid - but somewhat slow - runner and love training for my first marathon in the stunning scenery that the lakes and dams provide.
I worked as an artist and writer when my children were young, selling paintings through the Central Otago Art society and writing a monthly column for the local newspaper. I moved into healthcare when my time allowed and spent the last 7 years working in aged care. I thoroughly enjoyed caring for our local elderly, inspired by their amazing life tales and wisdom.
I believe this experience has built on my natural empathy and people skills. I am a down to earth, happy person and sometimes a little quirky. I pride myself on being honest and reliable, a people pleaser who will always go the extra mile.
